Our in-house team of experienced eLearning developers create, design and host eLearning content for a wide range of clients in both the private and public sectors.
Armada's clients come back to us time after time. The majority of our work is repeat business. Most of our new projects come through positive referrals from existing clients.
Armada eLearning
History
Armada began in 1991 as a Technical Authoring company, founded by Nigel Platts and Steven Smith. At the time, they worked together as Technical Authors in the Technical Publications team at McDonnell Douglas, now part of the Boeing Company. They started by buying a single computer on a credit card. From their homes, they worked shifts; one using the computer during the daytime, one at night time. As the business grew they rented, then bought office premises.
As the world of user guides moved online so did Armada. By 2000, Armada was providing face-to-face technical training and our first eLearning courses for the Royal Mail. Since then we have become experts in everything eLearning.
Armada's staff
The eLearning team is headed up by George Hill. George has worked for Armada for an number of years. He is a graduate of The University of Manchester. He is also an expert in Captivate and Storyline and our internal LMS guru!
Nigel Platts is still very much active in the business. He has over 30 years’ experience in the training industry, both online and off. He brings a wealth of knowledge to each project they work on.
As we are also a training company, our eLearning developers receive great formal training in the use of technical writing software.
Armada eLearning's offices
Our eLearning team are based in Camden, London but our head office is in Bromsgrove, south of Birmingham. We also have training venues in Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Bristol and in Reading.
Some of our instructional designers are permanently based at client sites. Others work from their home-offices.
